REVIEW: TRILOGY MAKE-UP BE GONE CLEANSING BALM

I believe that cleansing balms are the unsung heroes of the skincare world.  Far more effective then makeup wipes or your everyday face wash, adding a cleansing balm to your skincare routine is your first step towards better skin.

Today I am reviewing Trilogy’s Make-Up Be Gone Cleansing Balm, a hydrating balm, with a sweet, slightly floral scent, that gently removes all traces of makeup using natural ingredients.  It has quickly become a necessity in my skincare routine.

HOW DO YOU USE IT?

Trilogys Make-Up Be Gone Cleansing Balm is your first step in removing your make up. Start out by scooping approximately 1/4 of  teaspoon with clean hands and gently massage onto your face. You can always apply more depending on how heavily your makeup is applied.

As you begin massaging the balm onto your face, you will feel the texture of the balm change as it melts with the heat of your hands into your skin. The key to making sure you get every little bit of make up off  is to make sure you thoroughly massage the product into your face. I recommend 5 minutes and don’t forget to get into that mascara on your lashes. The great thing about this cleansing balm is you can use it to remove eye make up and it won’t sting or irritate your eyes, so go for it!

Rinse the organic cloth that is included with the Make-Up Be Gone Cleansing Balm in warm water and gently wipe your face. That’s it! Done, now you have beautiful clean skin.

WHY I LOVE IT?

Packed with amazing and natural ingredients such as:

Mango butter – Helps relieve dry skin and has anti-inflammatory properties

Sunflower seed oil -Rich in Linoleic acid, helps maintains skins barrier and water loss

Coconut Oil- Hydrating fatty acids have strong disinfectant qualities and improves skins texture

Rosehip oil- A key ingredient to the Trilogy brand, it helps repair sun damaged skin and improves the appearance of burns, scars and wrinkles.

It’s safe to say people with dry skin will absolutely love this, it won’t  dry your skin out or strip it of natural oils as some cleansers can.

Another reason I love this balm is the price. When you think of cleansing balms, the popular ones that come to mind include Elemis Pro Collegen Cleansing Balm or Clinque Take the day off, these products range in price from $55 – $90AUD.  The Make-Up Be Gone Cleansing Balm is only $36.90AUD and comes with a good quality, sustainable, cotton, organic cloth.

I love that Trilogy is a brand synonymous with natural products, supports ethical trade and is against testing on animals. Another bonus is that the packaging is recyclable.
