REVIEW: ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS BROW DEFINER

Welcome to the first review from ausbeautyandskincarereviews! Today I will be starting with the new Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer.  Anastasia is known as the queen of brows, styling and grooming the brows for the Kardashians and even appearing on Oprah.

There is no denying her Brow Wiz is a hit.  It has certainly improved my brow game, which admittedly isn’t  strong naturally but I was curious to see if the Brow Definer could do better.

There are some obvious differences at first glance. The main contrast is the tip. The Brow Definer has a triangular shaped tip which allows you to draw different sized brow hair strokes(thick or thin). The other distinctive feature you’ll see is the thickness of the product and the very large spoolie.

As soon as the Brow Definer arrived in the mail, I wasted no time testing it out. What I  love is how the tip allows you to create such a sharp line and define the lower part of your brow.  It makes it so easy to fill in your brows as the the tip is bigger and you can create larger, more precise strokes. In saying that I  found at times you could “overdo” your brows and make them thick and block like, but easily fixable with a bit of concealer and an angled brush.

The drawback I  found was that tip becomes dull quite easily. Anastasia advises that you can sharpen the Brow Definer by placing the tip on an angle and running it up and down on a piece of paper.  While this does solve the problem, I don’t love the idea of constantly wasting the product every time it needs sharpening.

Pro’s:

  • Easy to use
  • Same formula as the brow wiz
  • You can create sharp lines and definition to your brows
  • Broad range of colours
  • Large spoolie

Con’s

  • Expensive shipping to Australia, however once this product has been out longer, it should be more readily available in Australia, reducing costs
  • The new tip design can make it easy to “overdo” your brows
  • Regular use dulls the shape of triangular tip

I brought mine from Anastasia Beverly Hills website for $20USD http://www.anastasiabeverlyhills.com/what-is-new/brow-definer.html

Other stores that ship to Australia include:

Great review! I am new to the brow game and I have been eyeing of Anastasia Beverley Hills brow products for a while. I would love to try both but I don’t have a lot of money at the moment so I am wondering, if you had to choose between buying the Brow Wiz and Brow Definer which one would you buy?

      Hi Poppy,
Thanks for your comment. We would recommend the Brow Wiz for beginners as it gives a more natural look, and is much more forgiving if you overdraw your brows. Xx ausbeautyandskincarereviews
